Wednesday, January 5, 2011

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Millions, billions of females across the globe are now in mourning. Thousands of black armbands will be worn on the NY Rangers #30 jersey. Henrik is indeed engaged and getting married to longtime paramour Therese. :(

The news is all over Sweden and thanks to reader Josefine those of us on this continent now know and can commence the gnashing of teeth and wailing.

Swedish goalie Henrik Lundqvist hero, 28, will marry.
He surprised his girlfriend, Theresa Andersson with a huge diamond ring and a surprise party.
"It was a fantastic evening in every way," says hockey star.

Since two weeks back, the New York Rangers goalie Swedish star Henrik Lundqvist engaged.
According to Expressen's data, he planned everything with the utmost secrecy - to surprise his girlfriend Theresa.
And he succeeded. They've been together a long time but she suspected nothing yet, says a friend.
Henry is thought to have a phone call to Theresa and asked her to put on a dress. He then sent a taxi that drove her to a small, romantic restaurant in New York which he subscribed.
"She said yes immediately"

It was evening, four days before Christmas.
"There were flowers planted everywhere and only the two where the whole restaurant," says Expressen's source.
The ring that hockey star, gave to his girlfriend is, reportedly, a really big diamond ring.
-It is of white gold and completely covered with small diamonds and a giant diamond in the center, says the couple's friend, adding:
-She said yes immediately when he proposed. She was very happy.
Suspect no evening did not stop there - but offered even more surprises for the now future wife Lundqvist.
Flew in friends
Her hockey hero had really made an effort and secretly invited her closest friends - and flew them to New York.
-Therese had not suspected anything in advance, "says the friend.
Henrik Lundqvist, who has previously been identified as the Princess Madeleine's new love, has now clearly shown that his heart belongs to the youth love Theresa.
When Expressen congratulate him on the engagement, he replies:
-Thank you. It was a fantastic night at all seen.

I wonder why now after all these years? Did Henrik Z's marriage get to Hank and he decided he better step up?

'Why now' was also my question. You have to wonder if there's reason, be it covering for something negative, etc. But that's probably just me and my skeptical nature. I hope for their sake that it's all on the up and up and it really was just a case of "this is dumb, we love each other, so let's finally get married" :)

I guess I'm the only one that's happy for him.

I'm happy for them, too! Why do people have to look for the negatives in everything!

If Hank is happy then I am happy too...Therese is one lucky lady!Wishing all the best to them....see ya at the game tonight Hank ;)

Lol, Americans who can't understand being together for longer than two years without getting married... it's perfectly normal here as I said before.

Really happy for them, don't see a reason why anyone wouldn't be.

I don't think it's a case of Americans not understanding being together longer than 2 years without getting married. That is perfectly normal. Perhaps the question is more along the lines of what is the impetus to suddenly get married at 8 years versus last year at 7 or in two years at 10? I have plenty of American friends who are long-term partners without being married; it's just for them, they never feel the need to get married and don't plan to ever, despite feeling permanent together otherwise. So for these two, the question is more what spurred them on at this particular point.

And curiosity about why now doesn't mean people aren't happy for them. It's quite reasonable to be curious and also happy and well-wishing. But thanks for calling us marriage-obsessed simpletons.

They are a cute couple! I'm glad for Henrik that he found someone he loves and tolerates his constant travelling and stress and I'm glad for Therese that she finally got a ring! Though I'm still sad for all of humanity that's he off the market! WAH

Congrats to the two of them! She's a lucky lady. :)

(And speaking of upcoming weddings, his teammate, Marc Staal also recently got engaged. They had annouced during one of the games the other day.)

He is going to be the best dressed Groom. Ever. I'm sure the wedding will be in Sweden, wish it would be televised to the USA - are you reading this Henrik? ;)

The rumormill is at it again...People at the Rangers game on 19th were talking about her cheating again...I'm guessing this is all they want to believe which is stupid. If you're a fan why would you want him to be screwed over? I think this makes women think they have a shot at him, leave the guy alone with rumors or even if it is true, let him live his damn life. MSG is turning into the National Enquirer. I'm a Lundqvist fan but I go to MSG to watch hockey too.

i mean..yes, she did cheat, but ya know, u gotta forgive people sometimes...the thing that bothers me is how little he thinks of himself...it hurts that he forgives her after all these things she's done to him, and now he's pretty much gonna marry someone who literally looks like a man..i mean come on, you all thought it...Im very good friends with him and I know he's not really happy, he's just trying to protect his image...and I don't blame him...so all you haters, just leave him alone, she's a dirtbag, we all know that, but LET HIM BE!
